Re: West Ham accused of sex discrimination
I was lead to believe that the ladies team was a separate company to West Ham Utd. As the ladies have a separate chairman seems to make this true.
West Ham Utd only involvement was to grant them permission to use their copyrighted name.
As for sex discrimination I can’t think of many other clubs that have female board members.
I’m growing a little tired of the anti-West Ham news I’m reading and hope we start using it to our advantage.
I read yesterday that 3 arrests were made after the Middleborough game seriously 3 arrests should be a result for the club, how many arrests were there at other Premier League games this weekend?
The Governments latest figure 2015-16 season show that over the course of that season Chelsea had close to 60 arrests (that’s a little over 3 per game) therefore 3 is not a large number and is another Non-News story

I've never seen a woman in our first eleven so this might have legs. Not very nice legs but legs nonetheless.

West Ham United want to take back the women's team and end its separate status.

While it has separate status, I can't see how West Ham United have any responsibility for anything to do with the women's team, beyond, perhaps, giving them separate status in the first place.

Good. Women have no place in Football.

Re: West Ham accused of sex discrimination
To be fair this makes us look absolutely 2 bob. The top clubs ladiies' sections are integrated fully into the clubs. For instance, Chelsea ladies are based at Cobham with access to all the facilities there. WHUFC ladies currently play in the same division as Lewes FC, a club that plays in the Ryman South but whose ladies set up is head and shoulders above ours.

You joke can about it all you like but it is another indicator of our amateurish and penny pinching approach to running a top tier football club in the 21st century.

Isn't there someone who posts on here who is close to the WHUFC ladies set-up?

Re: West Ham accused of sex discrimination
Having refereed West Ham ladies a couple of times can I just confirm that it is shit.

Think of your local league, think of the lowest division in that league and then think of the worse team in that division and you have some idea of how shit it actually is.

It's just chubby girls chasing a ball around and screaming if it comes near them.

I can confirm that the ladies section at Lewes FC is very well run.

Re: West Ham accused of sex discrimination
You can act as supermen and talk down womens football, but you are not living in the 1960's anymore.

No matter what you think it's quality it's got a future, and west ham should be professional enough to take it seriously as other teams around the world does.

It's embarrassing to witness this, and will definitely harm our reputation and fan recruitment.

Women's football is shit. I'd never attend a game.

Is that sex discrimination?

stoneman 10:34 Mon Oct 3
Re: West Ham accused of sex discrimination
You are wrong.

The Women's cup final attracted a crowd of 4,000, most of those got in for £1.

If you can't attract fans to a prestigious game like that then why would sponsors and clubs continue to chuck money at it? Where is the business sense in that?

I have no interest in watching women's football and think it is substandard.
That said whenever I have seen anything about West Ham women's teams we seem to have all the fat useless Doris's picked last at school and are miles off other Premier league clubs like Chelsea and Man City.
It's a PR thing but if you are going to have a team do it properly.
If it was my choice I'd bin the whole thing but I understand in the modern ladyboy world you have to pretend to think it's worthwhile.

Re: West Ham accused of sex discrimination
Yet another bullshit story contrived by the Y shaped press. A stream of bile, PR or propaganda, dependent on your viewpoint, is being issued by the BBC, Evening Standard and occasionally the Times and Current Bun.

If it isn't fighting in or around the Stadium its the standing up brigade, terrified children etc, our current form is, of course, manner from Heaven to them and now this, a total work of fiction.

Form is temporary, the Stadium will be sorted and the Women's team is bing run by a total nutcase with a chip on his shoulder who will very soon be unemployed.

There is a huge amount of "Move on madam, nothing to see here" stuff being broadcast by the media to destabilise the club. They are running scared as we know represent a very real threat to London's perceived top order

Would of thought Karren Peschisolido and an opportunity for her "quest" for improving things for women would of seen to this by now.
